Hi everyone,

Does anyone know where I could find a few oak logs in Santa Fe? I thought it would be easy but cant seem to get hold of any and am looking for a home for my shitake plugs.

I have no idea, but you might want to call your local tree service or arborists and see if they might know of a place to get fresh oak logs. Or see if your local national forest might know of a spot where you could harvest a few big branches with a permit. Or try craigslist.

The logs should be cut before the buds break for best results.

Thank you,

That is a great idea. I will call our arborist.
