Dear Permaculturists,

You are invited to an Intro To Permaculture and Soil Workshop given by Koreen Brennan from Grow Permaculture, on Sept 14 &15 in Clearwater.

This workshop will focus on permaculture design techniques for your home, and sustainable, Florida specific techniques for building soil that lasts, for your garden.

Please note that we have an Early Bird Special until Sept 8, 2013.

Find all the details at www.growpermaculture.com, or
call Cathy at 727-495-6145.

And here is a quote for you, explaining one reason why you want to have the best soil you can in your yard!
Read what Emma Sherlock, of the Natural History Museum, says:

Why worms matter
"Earthworms are massively important animals. Aristotle, Cleopatra and Darwin have all extolled their virtues but currently they are still not valued enough by society. The more you study earthworms, the more fascinating and remarkable they become.
There is not just one earthworm! They come in all sorts of sizes, colors and carry out different but vitally important roles in the ecosystem, whether this be breaking down dead organic matter, tilling our soils or just being a fantastic food source, keeping so many different animals alive and healthy. These creatures are working tirelessly under our feet (or even in the trees) helping to make our planet a fertile and pleasant place to be."
