Hi there, I'm looking for some advice. I believe we are in a disaster cycle and that we will soon suffer from solar storms and power outages due to the weakening of the earths magnetic field which will lead to a pole shift. In this event 95% of the humans on the planet will perish. Humans have survived these disaster cycles before so for survival you would need a community and a location where the tsunami won't reach you along with somewhere you can survive, where the weather conditions are survivable and you can live without power. My country would be submerged under water so there is no chance of survival here. I know this sounds over the top and many would think this would never happen but lets say it is going to occur within the next 2 decades, how can one even form a community and find people who are open to this idea. I've seen many who just say oh well there is no hope in that situation or they just don't even want to consider something like this happening. In a scenario like this when all bets are off, what would you all do to survive?

Hello Raj. That's a lot to unpack.

I honestly see no reason to believe that 95% of humans will perish. A shift in the magnetic poles of Earth will not cause tsunamis. The Earth will not physically "flip over" on its rotational axis. The UK will not be under water.

During the period of such a transition, which is an unknown quantity, there could be added instability in the power grid in the event that we are unlucky enough to be in the direct path of a big solar flare. There is a lot that can be done to harden the grid if we are motivated; otherwise we will be operating under rolling blackouts which will take a lot of behavioural adaptation. Communications/Internet may be wonky and sporadic as well. Small scale power systems, or off grid setups, will see little impact.

Personally, I think the "soft preps" of homesteading are a completely practical approach to mitigating these scenarios. Adding resilience while living your life is a good approach to weathering the unknown. I think history proves that it works well. My 2c.

Ben Davidsons upcoming short film on the disaster cycle is out soon.

The earth moves 90 degrees in a pole shift, Antarctica will be at the equator, north America will be south America. The plasma that comes from the sun will fry every chip not mater how deep under ground because the magnetic field will not block the plasma due to being weak. The actually Wipeout of the power grid will occur first knocking us back into the stone age and then the flip will happen anytime after, could take years. 95% of human will perish not just from the tsunamis which occurs when the pole shift happens, but from the fact the every electronic system will fail, and resources will be low, you know how humans are when there is no food and water! How many people can survive or even know how to farm, in this day and age? if electronics are fried, BOOKS will be a major resource. There are army drills for solar storms currently happening, you can find articles reporting this. Home insurance applications now have a section on solar panels saying, they do not cover solar panel damage from solar storms. Government is well aware of what is happening.

Let say for a second that every thing I stated will occur, how can I find people of faith, who would want to make a community in preparation for this biblical event? I mean Noah built an ark to survive the floods, was that when earth last pole shift was 6000 years or so ago? Is history trying to warn us humans that the disaster cycle happens over and over, it could explain all the amazing things we find around the world with no knowledge of who built it, because those with the knowledge, perished in these events and the knowledge is lost.

I didn't say it. I'm just telling you what this tiny ad said.
