These pics are current day (not when the mill was operational). I rebuilt the dam in 1990, 50 yrs after it was first built by my dad.

Elwin, tell us a little more about it. Where is it ? How big is the dam and the pond ? What materials were used ?...

I don't see any emergent plants like cattails and water lilies. Do you actively discourage an emergent zone ?

What sorts of fish and other life does it contain ?

When you build a dam, your work goes a long way since you can lay claim to the dam itself and to the pond that nature shapes as a result.
