The dish has a bigger surface area than a blade turbine. So does a column turbine without the wobble, which also operates without noise.

So it is supposed to shake apart on purpose? It may be more efficient in some windspeeds, it may be cheaper initially, but I would have to see a 30 yr. TCO for it vs. a conventional turbine.

Company link didn't work for me. site not found.

The people of YouTube seem to have this figured out. The first few comments below The video --- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H2IeCJiddQg One of their "team" went to a top engineering school in Tunisia. They are careful to not name a person and a school, since that is a searchable fact.

this is rather old now - did you make any $$ with your scam?

The paper plate with the image on it cost less than a $. That makes this system one of the cheapest in over-unity false-claim bad-science hoax projects, and it will probably become a success and really change the world, as discussed on TED. And since it hardly has any efficiency whatsoever it can easily discard the Betz limit. Thus many utubians can bet real money on it and make these guys rich. Good luck!!

WTF? That can't possibly work... can it?
http://www.saphonenergy.com/ is making some amazing claims about this... Including that it beats the Betz Limit?

All my bullshit detectors are glowing, but perhaps someone out there knows something more?
