Dare IV insert temperatures? Anyone?

I have a late 70's fireplace insert called a Dare IV. It was made by the Harrington Mfg Co in Lewiston, NC (not far from me). I was wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of temps I should be looking for on the doors since that is the only place I have to get a measurement. Firebox is steel and the doors are cast.
