BSF - master plan

Hi guys,

We're currently designing Big Small Farm - a non-profit farm incubator in FL and I thought I'd put a link to the current version of the master plan here as a reference/example/bone yard of ideas for people doing broadacre designs. Questions and critique are also welcome.

As we progress with the detailed designs of each area I plan to upload them as well.

We'll have a workshop in March to design the Education and Demonstration Center (#2 on the plan) and I'll put the detailed plan here when it's ready.

Sounds interesting...what type of staff and support do you have for the natural building design and facilitation? What styles of natural-traditional architecture are you looking at? How many full time on site living members do you see in five years? What is there buy in?

No staff yet - are you interested in becoming a resident expert? Personally, I'm a big fan of earthbag structures but it's all good, AFAIC. Living on site is a bit tricky - this is not a commune, it's a farm incubator ... but there will be a few core group people, sure. There is no buy in - all renters are independent enterprises. They're part of the community in terms of participation in self-governance but economically speaking the only thing they owe to BSF is rent. Does it make sense?
