Seedlings

I decided to start lots of trees from seeds this year with the idea of starting a small scale nursery. I got really good price on many native seeds and I got some more exotic ones (paw paw). After making a list of everything, I am counting 4010 seeds. Here is the breakdown:

Sounds fun! What are you going to do about potting soil? Or will you grow them in the ground? Be sure to protect them very well from critters!

I'm growing goji now and so far the seedlings are VERY slow-growing. They may need additional heat applied or something.

We are planning on planting most of the trees in pots. I am not sure yet what we will do for the potting mix.

Korean Pine sounds like a great idea from seed, they're expensive to purchase as small trees.

They apparently are really hard to get to sprout. They currently are stratifying in the fridge, I will put them in the soil in June. We'll see from there.

That is an impressive list... oaks and pines and goji's? Awesome.

Post a picture of the mass of seeds. Maybe make a mountain.
