Why is there no "breeding" forum?

Hi Paul, or whoever it is that creates new forum sections,

I would love it if there was a "Breeding" section in the forum. Maybe even two: "Plant Breeding" and "Animal Breeding".

These topics are very interesting to me personally and I see many threads related to breeding scattered throughout the forum, I think there would be plenty of interest in sections dedicated solely to breeding.

Thanks for running this forum so well, it is an amazing resource and one of the friendliest forums I have found!

Hi Sheldon,

We will see what the others think Sheldon, yet the reason "why not," is for sake of clarity. In my first "incarnation" in this life I was getting a PhD in "Ethology and Animal Husbandry." To just discuss "husbandry" (which includes breeding) you really need to break it down into species or breed...which we do. So follow those forums and/or post there to focus the information that is germane to a breed or species. If you think there is a breed or species not covered...let us know.

Regards,

j

It is plausible that we will add those forums later - when our forum software gets an upgrade that will better facilitate having a thousand forums. Right now we are over a hundred and that's a bit unwieldy.

Alright thank you both for your replies. If I have specific breeding questions I will post them in the relevant forum based on the species.

I understand that technical limitations may limit the number of sections, a very valid reason not to make a breeding forum. I guess I need to create my own forum on breeding! haha
