I just acquired a vintage Excalibur Flour Mill, and I'm wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions for its use.
It seems pretty intuitive, and I watched a youtube video about it. From a quick online search there's not much documentation out there.

I have one of these and was probably purchased about 55 years ago and still use yearly to grind my wheat and corn. I adjust the stones till you can hear them barely touching- that way it makes my flour and cornmeal fine which is what I like. If you want it courser just adjust the stones. Very easy. If you know anyone that has a gluten issue, you can grind milo since it is gluten free-same as wheat flour. This is one of the best things I ever bought when I was "real poor" in the day and it does have a different (better taste to me). You made a good purchase.
Thanks for the response, and the tip about setting the gap on the stones.
All the people I know with gluten allergies would need their own mill, due to cross-contamination. But that's good info about milo.
