looking for an ID (pepperweed)

Region: North Texas
Soil : Alkaline / Calcareous, it's pretty much white.
Plant has a strong taproot.

We installed a new tornado shelter and the excavator operator "extended" my driveway with fill. This stuff seems to love it, and I'm very curious what it is.
