Can anyone recommend a good downloadable guide for identifying wild medicinals for Android? I'm visiting my wifes family in the middle of nowhere Kentucky, surrounded by forest and mountain streams. Once we get away from the wifi I cant look things up.

I don't know of any down loads.
just be careful poking around in the woods
ya just might find something the locals don't want you to find
I know western Ky. has a lot of stuff going on in the bush
BTW paper back book might be better for you [cant be tracked]

I highly recommend purchasing a good field guide. "Peterson Field Guides #2: A Field Guide to Medicinal Plants and Herbs: Of Eastern and Central North America" by Steven Foster and James A. Duke is an excellent book for your area. You could probably find a copy at your local used book store (or library). Below is a link to Powell's which will give you an idea of what this book is like. Good luck!
