I just ran across this recipe for bug repellent, and thought I would share it here.
We have attempted these in the past and they have been really hit or miss. Anyone else have a great recipe? I'm pretty sure we are breeding a new breed of super mosquito around here, they feed off of the toxic gick that everyone is spraying and grow into crazy mutant mosquitos!
Anyhow, here's the recipe:

DIY Natural Mosquito Repellent
•2 tablespoons neem seed oil
•1 tablespoon olive oil
•1 tablespoon coconut oil
•10-15 drops of citronella essential oil

If necessary, melt coconut oil. Mix together all ingredients and store in a small jar with an eye dropper top. To use, rub sparingly onto exposed skin.

Note: You should not use neem seed oil if you are pregnant or trying to get pregnant, as it is an abortifacient.

In the past, I have been in situations where the choices were either use the toxic concoctions, or get eaten alive.
I would apply the stuff to my cuffs, collar, and the rim of my cap, but NOT to my skin.
This seemed to be about 90% effective. It was enough to deter them so that they went looking for blood bank elsewhere.

Mosquitore are dengerous creatures.I have a home remedy to get rid of mosquitoes. This combination can give you the most effective mosquito repellent. Add 10 to 12 drops of lavender oil, 3 tbsp. of vanilla extract, and 3 to 4 tbsp. of lemon juice in two cups of water. Spray the solution on your body two to three times a day for better results. You can also spray the solution in different corners of the house or in most mosquito-prone areas.
