Hey fellow Permies!

My partner and I are looking for someone to live and practice permaculture on 5 acres of remote desert property located in a foothills valley, riparian zone landscape with an abundance of shade trees, located about 40 minutes from Tucson.

The property available is half of a 10 acre property which has a wash running through the middle and a small south facing hill that would be great for gardening and swale systems. We would prefer no animal husbandry on the property, instead cohabitating with and creating improved microclimate for existing flora/fauna. The property is off grid, with abundant solar potential although a possibility to connect to the electric grid if needed. There is also limited cell service on the property. The property would be shared with a currently vacant 5 acres. Access to the property is via a dirt road with minimal traffic, requiring 4WD about 1 mile from the highway. Within a 3 mile radius there are hiking trails, a creek that runs most of the year, and a mountain biking park. Currently there is a fenced in living area conducive for pets, a picnic table and beginning of an outdoor shower space. You will be able to choose and develop your living setup, possibilities being a yurt or dome, tiny home on wheels, RV/camper, or van.

Respectful, intentional stewardship of the land is essential. There is the possibility of purchasing the land in the future.

Practical details to discuss:

Type of dwelling (RV, tiny home, etc.)
Utilities and setup
Scope of work trade (if applicable)
Financial terms, very flexible for the right person
Length of stay

Please reach out with serious inquiries to discuss further. Thank you for your interest!
