Hi, i bought some wheat with mycelium and i need to propagate them to new wheat. I asked chatgpt, and i just want to confirm if it's ok what chatgpt is telling me ( sometime it makes errors):

## 🌱 1. Prepare new wheat grains

First, you need clean, well-hydrated wheat.

### a) Washing

Wash the wheat well with water to remove dust and dirt.

### b) Soaking

Leave it in clean water for:
πŸ‘‰ **12–18 hours**

This activates bacterial spores so they can later be killed during boiling.

### c) Short boiling

Boil the wheat for:
πŸ‘‰ **10–15 minutes**

It should be:
βœ”οΈ Cooked inside
βœ”οΈ But not burst
βœ”οΈ Not mushy

Drain it very well.
There should be no water left on the outside.

Tip: If you squeeze a grain and no water comes out β†’ it’s ready.

---

## 🧼 2. Sterilize (VERY important)

If you don’t sterilize, contamination is almost guaranteed.

### Ideal:

Pressure cooker:
πŸ‘‰ 15 psi / 90 minutes

### Alternative (if you don’t have a pressure cooker):

Regular pot:
πŸ‘‰ Boil closed jars for 2 hours
(Repeat the next day = better)

It’s not perfect, but it helps.

---

## πŸ«™ 3. Fill the containers

Put the wheat into:

* Glass jars
* Cut plastic bottles
* Resistant bags

Do not fill more than 70%.

Make small holes in the lid and cover them with cotton or micropore tape if possible (so it can breathe without contamination).

---

## πŸ„ 4. Inoculate: transfer your mycelium

Do this in the cleanest place possible:

* Close windows
* Clean with alcohol
* Wash your hands well

If you can, do it near a candle or lighter (heat reduces bacteria in the air).

### How to transfer the mycelium:

1. Open your old jar with mycelium
2. With a clean spoon (better if sterilized with fire)
3. Take some colonized grain
4. Put it into the new jar
5. Close quickly

Ratio:
πŸ‘‰ 1 part mycelium : 5–10 parts new wheat

Example:
100 g mycelium β†’ 500 g–1 kg wheat

---

## 🌑️ 5. Incubation

Store them in:

βœ”οΈ Dark place
βœ”οΈ 22–28Β°C (72–82Β°F)
βœ”οΈ No direct sunlight

In 3–7 days you’ll see white threads.

When it’s 30–40% colonized:
πŸ‘‰ Shake gently to redistribute.

In 10–14 days it should be fully colonized.

---

## ⚠️ 6. Watch for contamination

If you see:

❌ Green = mold
❌ Black
❌ Bad smell

β†’ Throw it away far from your grow area.

Only white = good.

---

## 🌿 Extra: Multiplying without a pressure cooker (rustic method)

If you are in the countryside and don’t have equipment:

* Use well-boiled wheat
* Dry it very well
* Use small jars
* Use more mycelium (1:3)

Less yield, more risk, but it can work.
