Anyone else have some savings they would like to get out of the bank or stock market and into an investment you can have more control over?

I would like to buy property within or adjacent to a self sufficient community in Alabama.   I am 65 and moved back to Alabama after having been gone 42 years so I don't know a lot of like minded people in the area.  It would be very nice to join an existing group (that is Not insistent on vaccines) or get to know some like minded people who want to partner, find suitable land, and develop a community together.

I am in Huntsville but would like to be in New Hope or further south in Etowah or Cherokee counties where there are less tornadoes and low crime.  Alabama does have what is called a black soil belt that is very rich for farming.   It is found much further south but also a region I would be willing to consider.

I look forward to finding folks in my neck of the woods with similar interests!  TAM

Welcome to the forum!

You are living where we had family long ago ...

My best advice is to buy a fixer upper.  The housing market is just unreal ...
