My little state of Rhode Island I'd currently enrolled in a controversy that unites the tea party and the occupy crowd. There was a shady deal for the state to guarantee millions of dollars in bonds for Curt Schilling (baseball player)'s video game company that failed grandly. The people didn't vote on the bonds and the united front of occupiers, socialists, tea partiers and libertarians had a demonstration together this past week.
If the fringe groups can unite on the things they agree on, they can lead the sheep in the middle to topple the corporatocracy. A weakness in the current system is that in the corporate model everyone suffers, even the one percent. Their children are depressed and have ADHD too, and their mom's and dads are dying of cancer too. Their water and air is poisoned too, and everyone knows it. We can argue if we want about the causes of climate change/global weirding, but the tide just keeps coming in....
