Dealing with currant cane borers

Cane borers are doing serious damage to my black and red fruiting currants.
Any suggestions on how to deal with these, other than removing affected canes?

Location: Arkansas Ozarks zone 7 alluvial,black,deep loam/clay with few rocks, wonderful creek bottom!
