Cattle recommendations for Mountainous Mediterranean Dry Land Oak Forest

I am looking for some recommendations for good cattle for grass fed beef and possibly for dairy.

We currently have Low Lines and have been happy with them so far, but is there something better for this land with it's specific topography and climate.

My name is Corrie. I currently live in NW Montana, but have been dreaming about re-locating to central coastal CA for a few years now (I want to grow avocados!). I visited Paso Robles (my preferred area) and looked at a few properties last year. I was ready to go after seeing some parcels at the top of the coastal range there between Cambria and Paso Robles.
