just got myself a really nice shredder/chipper that can handle any organic material even green stuff. I used it on some iris clippings and a bunch of other weeds I ripped up and it was turned into pulp. So now I wonder if its even necessary to go through the trouble of building and maintaining a
compost pile when I could just shred it into my garden and till it in. I feel as if more organic material would make it into my garden rather than being lost in the composting process. Also it seems like less work just shredding it in.
