While hiking at my Dad's place in NW Pennsylvania, we found a few interesting things poking up through the decaying matter on the ground. Does anyone recognize this specimen?

Some type of Ramaria, perhaps Ramaria stricta?

We get them here in the South, usually deep in the undisturbed woods.

Thanks for the link, John. I felt fortunate to have seen them. Very interesting fungi and now they have a name.
