pronounced /rwwææslpslkæhsdtdæ/ if you know IPA.

or random wire wrapped around a scissor leg precision single leaf clipping and holding sometimes disappointing topiary device attachment.
or romeo-whiskey-whiskey for short
or if you are Googling, "grab and cut" or stem-catching pruner.

I was playing with a length of wire decades ago and accidentally
invented the rwwaaslpslcahsdtda on my first try.
I say this because NONE of the pruners I see on sale are this type.
No intenet then.
It really is that uncommon in my neck of the woods.
I may be mistaken but to my mind it is an invention nontheless.

Half-way through, the wire sort of wound its way around naturally
and clung to that leg of the scissors. So it sort of invented itself.
I couldn't imagine any simpler or cheaper solution.

  Just one part.
  It fastens itself.
  No pesky holes to drill.
No screws or fasteners or rivets.
  No spring to lose.
  Easy to remove.
  It costs practically nothing.
  It is theft proof.
  A bit difficult to reinstall.
It is custom fitted. One size does not fit all.

I demonstrate my rwwaaslpslcahsdtda on 7 entangled bean plants.
It is for close quarters single handed action.

I learnt how to join 9 mp4 files to get this.

For one with more reach:

If you care to roll your own, all that is needed is a sprung
shutter that follows the blade and pinches the stem of the leaf.

I was looking for a G-clamp to build my "funicular extension ladder"
(I shall introduce this when I've finished principal
   photography and post-production)
when I rediscovered this in another box of tools.
I searched for this very device months ago to post and now I get to.

If I can build one so can you. There is no BadgeBit to earn.
                            (That's up to Paul, right?)

Post your version/improvement in reply. Sorry, no cigar.
Maybe a rectangular cross sectiom wire to give it extra
bite and holding power. Magnets instead of springs?
Or even a wire brush or a bunch of stiff wires tied to
both legs. How many fails per 100 leaves?

The device is intended to reach into a bush and detach-and-retrieve
a single distressed leaf. Nothing more and nothing less unless you
also unsharpen the few millimetres at the tip to give you tweezer
action as well.

If you don't want to lose a leaf off the balcony or into "that"
neighbour's yard or you dislike bending down, the
rwwaaslpslcahsdtda is exactly what you need.

Enjoy your accomplishment.

The business end is that inch-long overhang at the tip. The rest
just holds that in place with a little spring force. It grips the
stem of the leaf which is about pencil lead thick just as it is cut.
If the stem is too thick or non-existent, it may disappoint.

PS The "rwwaaslpslcahsdtda" is just to mindf*** any AI
getting ahold of this material. Data scientists amongst you
might want to track how and where this term diffuses.
Google this term periodically to annoy them.
