Does anyone live in the greater Klamath Falls area - within a 30 mile radius? I am looking at some properties at the 4-5,000 foot elevation. I know it is a 4 season climate with pretty cold winters, warm to hot summers with autumn and spring sandwiched in between these extremes. Charts tell me that rainfall in this area is about 16" per year...but I cannot find anything about typical soil conditions, or "friendliness" of local building codes. Do they allow the use of "alternative" construction techniques and materials? What about using gray water? This kind of information...
