One cost that I experience each night is the few moments that I invest in covering tools and other valuables with old blankets and other crap. By making my vehicle resemble a drug den, I reduce the chances of a break in.

I was parked beside a building known as "Crack Towers" when my van was struck by a shelving unit that was tossed from an upper balcony. This happened on Welfare Wednesday. Our tax money at work.
