The death of rats - need inspiration for some discworld fan art

The ears are odd.  I agree.  It's giving horror movie micky mouse vibes.  

not sure I can cut them off without heating the plastic as it's pretty brittle at room temp.  And I don't like the smell of hot plastic.  So I think I might have to use my brain to create the changes in the reference?  I don't have computer skills.  I bet even someone good at ai images could make a better reference.

Actually it would be kind of fun to collaborate with someone who can use ai image generators well and make the reference.  ... kind if sign of our times.  But I suspect it would take a lot of back and forth.

From a painting point of view, it's a fun shape to paint as the ears catch the light differently.  

But for the painting painting, my guy can't have ears.  It wouldn't work.
