I have been keeping bees in Kenyan top bar hives for three years now, and am expanding my berry farm to more of a berry market garden.
I am anticipating the need to build a Honey House at some time to comply with Ga simple hygiene laws for direct sales to the consumer.
My plan is to someday have about 10 TBH here on my 4 acres and will consider some more offsite, so my scale of operations will not involve any automated or powered honey extracting equipment.
my quest involves using the crush and drain method using de-capping tubs, 5 gallon pails, screen or filters etc.
i am interested in learning what others are doing in there processing rooms to put the honey in jars, bottles of all types.
so .....let's talk bees!

I use a sausage press. squishes the honey out faster and minimizes exposure to air. I don't bother to do any straining apart from the mesh bag I put the comb in to press it. so my equipment is pretty minimal: the press, a couple of knives, cutting board, mesh bags, jars.

I imagine I'll scale up some day, but I don't think a lot would change apart from the press and the number and size of jars.
