Hi folks,
We just took a Boski unit (the Italian version of the Aga) out of our kitchen.
It has a wetback for heating home
hot water and/or hydronic heating radiators, and an
oven that can be heated by
wood or electricity. And hot plates on top.
It's about 30+ years old and in fair condition. It will need a new grate in the fire section. And a good clean! We used it for central heating and ran 8 radiators from it, but they were in awful condition, so we don't have any radiators for it. But we do have 2 storeys worth of chimney to go with it.
I have it advertised for sale on Gumtree but I'm happy to give it away to any fellow Permies out there who need some heating/cooking power and don't have any money! It's not going to be suitable for a brand new country style mansion, but it would be right at home in an off-grid cabin in the forest or something.
