I sell handknit/crocheted stuff at a Saturday market about once a month here in town(McMInnville) and would love to bring in some garden stuff occasionally, like native blackberries, or sell plants like native species( for instance I have two myrtle/bay trees in my woods I can make cuttings from).

Are there any rules on occasional selling, or so I have to set up as a business to sell "food"--like I know if if I wanted to sell canned things(pickles, chutney) I have to get my kitchen inspected.

I make killa fudge too...

I found this wealth of info:

http://www.oregon.gov/ODA/ADMD/farmers_markets.shtml#For_market_farmers

I have been considering something similar here.    We  are required to rent a commercial kitchen for some products.

It probably depends on the individual market whether part-timers are welcome.  Our local market has enough space, some don't.
