My friend Brian is on the third turning of his 18 Day Berkeley compost pile. Looks like a little volcano, doesn't it?

Bleeding heart flowers seem a good choice.

Yeah - I rarely, if ever, turn compost piles - but Brian wanted a whole lot of compost FAST because we have a whole sunken swimming pool to make into a garden before it gets too blasted hot! It was already 82F here today. We are having fun with this pile and we composted a lot of stuff that would have ordinarily gone into the trash or recycle bins.
 
Farmers know to never drive a tractor near a honey locust tree. But a tiny ad is okay:
