The last few years we have been experimenting with permaculture projects, but would like someone who has experience working with permaculture design. We also need assistance with expanding existing permaculture plots and someone to help design new projects. If you have an artistic flare and like to spend time doing manual labor, this is the project for you.

Lots of herbs throughout the entire parcel from which tinctures are made
Solar panels on large garage out back

What we need/want:
A plant person(s) w/ some permaculture experience who can design and assist with existing projects and develop new projects
Someone(s) who can develop and maintain and irrigate the garden, orchard, and take care of the animals
Realistically, there is about 3-4 hours of work a day.
You may have the opportunity to find other part-time employment locally

hi Judy!! I found you first on helpx and now here!! you and your farm sounds and looks so so good!!
my husband Paul and I have been studying permaculture, forest/wild gardening and foraging, and sustainable living for some time now, and experimenting with what tiny space we have in an urban environment in iowa city IA. we just gave birth to our firstborn, an extremely happy and content 4 month old son, this past December. we are so blessed by him. he loves being outside! we would like to give him a better life where we can all live and work together in harmony with earth and other people.
we would love to gain experience pursuing our passions of agricultural, culinary, visual arts and more. We care deeply about practicing symbiosis with earth, and obsessively study intelligent garden design. We desire to work with nature to create low-maintenance, biodynamic, edible ecosystems, from soil to leaf. However, we are open to learn from any system and are very respectful; we celebrate diversity!
We have studied books, followed online summits, and experimented in urban gardens and forests. We are learning to practice careful observation of soil, terrain, water, etc. Geoff Lawton,
John Jeavons, Bill Mollison and many others inspire us to think critically of entire systems. We grow our own sprouts and are starting microgreens soon for easy year round fresh window gardens. We would love to come share our skills and exchange ideas and arts with you!

For more about us, visit our website
www.symbiology.tk

we hope to hear from you soon!! excited to get to work, spring is exhilarating me with new growth everyday! we are eating garlic mustard like crazy and hoping to open up the forest floor for native resurgence!

thank you for your consideration!

Hello Judy, my name is Dave. I was very intrigued by your post and am wondering if you found someone to help you yet. You seem to have a very lovely and progressive piece of land, best of luck with everything. So, I'll keep this short since I would assume you may have found your desired help. Take care.

Hello my name is Mercy and I am extremely interested in working on your farm.

I have owned and ran my own farm for over 6 years. I had goats, chickens, ducks, turkeys, pigs, rabbits and even pigeons. I milked my goats twice daily and enjoyed caring for them. I was also a freelance farm/ ranch worker for 8 years. And have experience with
• Dog and Cat care-including a variety of nutritional and enrichment strategies, minor health care and
transportation
• Chicken care-feed and water, clean laying boxes, egg collection, transporting, minor health care
• Goat care-feed and water, clean area and houses, milking, transportation, hoof and minor health care
• Pig care-feed and water, clean area
• Horse care-feed and water, grooming, blanket mounting and removal
• Deliver and stack hay
• Assist with planning, planting and picking of trees, vegetable and flower gardens and greenhouses
• Stack, remove, burn and distribute lumber, firewood and brush
• House painting-interior and exterior
• Shovel work-hole digging, mucking
• Creek restoration
• Assist with fence design and implementation

I have also have experience growing and cultivating. My family even owned a dispensary at one point.

I am very passionate about animals and have been my whole life. I have had the amazing opportunity of working in several different animal fields. From a veterinarian hospital to being enrolled in a zoological park program.
It is my dream, my life goal, to work with animals. They are the highlight of my life and I would be incomplete without them.
I know I would be a great asset to your farm. I am dedicated, hard working, and a fast learner. I am very caring, passionate, and trustworthy. I have learned an abundance from and about animals in my life and cannot wait to learn more.
I currently live in Delavan, WI but am looking to relocate. I really miss the farm life. I know you won't be disappointed if you give me the opportunity to be part of your wonderful establishment.

If you are interested I am willing to send you my resume. I appreciate your time and consideration. I hope to hear from you soon. My email is mercyovh@yahoo.com
Thank you,
Mercy

Hi Judy,

I recently posted in the wwoof forum (Experienced wwoofer looking for next experience on West coast/Hawaii this fall/winter) where you can find a list of my experience. If you could use some help this fall/winter, I'd love to talk more! In my post I list some key projects with which I'd like to gain experience, but I am open to learning much more, especially more design experience. I have also helped grow, harvest and process cannabis, though I could use more experience with this as well.
Look forward to hearing from you!

Ten years experience care taking. We are an organic family who live in a tiny house on wheels. We we have two year old son who we homeschool. We have experience caring for large and small animals, have grown several organic gardens and are looking for like minded educated people to help out with their homesteading. I have been a teacher, daycare provider and currently a gymnastics coach. My husband has a masters in business and currently works as a account relationship manager at a corporate bank.
Our dream is to eventually be self sustainable. We love care taking and a very hard workers! We do not smoke, eat all organic, and see a holistic doctor for supplements and homeopathic remedies. I do not drink and my husband has less than 1 beer a week. Here is our blog https://www.facebook.com/tinyhousebigmoments/. We use all organic and mostly homemade cleaning products that are environmentally safe and toxin free. I am an excellent cleaner and organizer. Feel free to contact at koec0016@gmail.com we live in a tiny house on wheels so are available now.
