I really need to spend more time on my kickstarter right now. But my brain is buzzing with thoughts and ideas about the lab and "the mission".

I have so many things to try and so many things to prove, and, above all else, I want to see new things in permaculture that I never knew about.

For the last 20 months (which is the full time that we have been here) I feel like the thing I had to do was "prime the pump". Work crazy hard and brute force things to start. Start building community, start building infrastructure, start building what is needed to have 20 different permaculture artisans demonstrate 20 variations of permaculture and start cross pollinating ideas ....

There are a lot of people that are actively shopping for a piece of land because they want to live this way. They know they want to travel this path. They have built some skills and are ready to give it a go.

There are a lot of people that are looking to simply come to a place like this for the summer and build knowledge and experience down this path. Try it out and see. And who knows what they will choose to do next.

With the hundreds (thousands?) of variables that I'm toying with to prime the pump here, I am now thinking that I have struck a piece of magic. It seems so obvious now. It seems so simple. Why didn't this occur to me before? The whole ant village thing, plus, the gappers align themselves with the ants.

I keep trying to think of what I'm overlooking, but the more I examine this, the more upsides I see. I'm really struggling to see much in the way of downsides. Could this be the magic recipe? Could this be the missing component to a massive leap forward?

The idea of "Gardening Gardeners" has been on my mind for at least a year. It was about three years ago when I talked of the 20 artisans in my "husp" stuff. But it all seemed so vague at how it was going to happen until the ant village idea came into focus. Combined with the ant village challenge, and the idea of the gappers aligning with the ants instead of me.

I'm excited about how the next 60 days plays out. I cannot help but think that this is an exciting beginning for my projects, but I think it is possible that hundreds of other land owners will do similar things in the next few years.

Just felt the need to share my excitement.
