We are
looking for a long-term caretaker (couple preferred) for our 40 acre rural property in
Belize, Central America.

We need to return to the USA for extended periods of time starting immediately (August 2010). Ideally looking for a caretaker couple to live here and maintain the property while we are gone. We will be living here part time. If we find excellent caretakers we will take the property of the market.
Duties include:
- weedeating / chopping / maintaining grounds
- orchard tree care - fertilizing / mulching / watering
- maintenance of solar power and water systems
- care of 3 (spoiled!) dogs
- general maintenance of buildings
Ideal candidates:
- are into Permaculture / organic farming / orcharding
- are familiar with Off-grid living, solar power, spring water system
- are OK with hot humid tropics part of the year
- are avid dog lovers (our 3 dogs will remain here while we are gone)
- are independent and self-reliant
- have basic handyman skills in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, etc.
- are natural health enthusiasts; high fruit diet is a plus
