Hi folks,
Rancho Delicioso is an 8 hectare (20 acre) Eco-Village,
Permaculture Centre and Yoga Retreat in Costa Rica. It is beautifully situated in the center of the Southern Nicoya Peninsula, which is the prettiest beach area of Costa Rica, and includes the beach towns of Montezuma and Santa Teresa.
The
project is still fairly new and is coming together very nicely, but there is much still to achieve. To help carry the project to the next level, we need volunteers who really want to get busy on the farm and work hard to develop the
permaculture aspects already in place, and to start working on new ones. Some of the things we are working on are:
*organic farming;
*hydroponics;
*keyhole gardens;
*integrating animals such as horses, goats,
chickens, and fish into the system;
*green building;
*and many more.
If you feel you can contribute to any of these, or even have ideas about other things which could contribute to making our farm work better, we'd love to hear from you.
You will not find a fully functional
permaculture system yet, but you will be able to contribute to its becoming and learn an awful lot from taking part in that process. For that reason volunteers would ideally be willing to stay at least three months, but shorter is possible as well. Work takes place in 2.5 hour shifts for six days a week, and the rest of the time you can spend getting to know this magical place.
