Rocket Mass Heater >> Stirling engine >> battery array? Possible?

Has anyone attempted an array like this? Converting heat to mechanical and then storing? Please say yes!
I'm planning on building in mountainous forests in Washington and the land and I don't want to clearcut for solar. Any advice is appreciated greatly!
