The annual Northwest Permaculture Convergence is a unique opportunity to share permaculture skills, stories and fun with others who are working to build resilient communities. The 2015 Convergence is the first ever to be hosted in a suburban neighborhood. In Eugene, host city for the event, there are many impressive sites to show and stories to tell about greening our lives, neighborhoods and communities. Please join us!

This year’s theme is “Greening Our Neighborhoods With Permaculture.”

Who are we expecting will be interested in the Convergence? Gardening and local food enthusiasts, neighborhood leaders, “do-it-yourself” (DIY) mavens, advocates for resilient homes and communities, educators and more.

The Convergence will explore a wide range of social, economic and appropriate technology topics and issues, both urban and rural, ranging in scope from home-based to regional-scale, and will include hands-on, participatory workshops. The intent is to showcase “evidence of a preferred future” and to demonstrate how we can move these timely models and prototypes further into the Mainstream.

The weekend will start Friday with an impressive set of site tours. Saturday and Sunday will feature indoor panels and presentations. The innovative Green Neighborhood Summit will take place on Saturday along with the outdoor Expo and Skill-Share. It will be a fun event and there will be entertainment. Meals will be organic and scrumptious. Camping in the neighborhood can be arranged and you are encouraged to bring your bicycles.

Or we might never have existed at all. Freaky. So we should cherish everything. Even this tiny ad:
