Hello All,

An opportunity to support local food, listen to good music, and drink bloody marys is at hand.

What: Missoula Community Food Co-op and Boxcar Kitchen Construction Fundraising party with 4 live bands, a raffle, and drink specials

When: Saturday, September 4th @ 9pm

Where: Palace Billiards, 147 W. Broadway, Missoula MT

Bands: Pterodactyl Plains, Butter, Churchmouse, and Modality! That's 4 bands for 5 bucks.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Come to the Palace this Saturday at 9pm and listen to a wide range of music, win prizes, and celebrate Missoula's beloved community food project as it blossoms! Missoulians CAN help take back control of the food system. We've already started and you're welcome to join us!

The Missoula Community Food Co-op and the up-and-coming Boxcar Kitchen strive to bring healthy and local food to more people while stimulating Montana agriculture. The remodel of our space at 1500 Burns Street is moving along with great speed. Funds raised at this event will go towards furthering the construction process.

*The Missoula Community Food Co-op is operated by its members, which allows it to offer local and healthy food at the lowest mark-up possible. Each new member  lower prices and a more diverse and interesting community space. You can sign up for a membership and learn all about it at this event.
Call 728-2369 for info.

*The Boxcar Kitchen will begin phasing in neighborhood cafe services by Summer 2011. Boxcar Kitchen is working to develop creative ways to make healthy food accessible to more people via a neighborhood cafe and  shared-use kitchen. Delicious, healthy food should be a right, not a privilege!
Call the North-Missoula Community Development Corporation at 829-0873 for info.

To help us celebrate this moment in time, the Palace has agreed to offer Bloody Marys for only $3!

Thanks everyone for your continued support!

Ahh, thanks for the Boxcar Kitchen information!  I heard it was opening this year but that seemed way to fast.  It was just a snippet I caught on channel 11 a couple of months ago.

I think that area of the westside in particular will benefit greatly by that opening there.  Most people in that area are very friendly even though many live in trailer parks which don't have the best reputation.  I live close enough that the family and I can walk over there (we visit the co-op often) from our house in no time.

I agree. Here's the link: http://stoves2.com
