Hello! Im moving into a little "tent cabin" up the hill at a hot springs in California. Its pretty rustic, built on top of a handbuilt redwood deck, canvas walls and a tarp roof but with 220w capacity. Pretty amazing. Right now theres a nasty old carpet above a tarp stapled to the redwood deck. I'm wanting to either put in a wood floor or an earthen floor above it but I'm very limited in time and funds, plus everything has to be carried up a hill. Wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to make an earthen floor happen? We have very hot and dry summers and wet and cool winters.

Thank you!
Blessings!
Aurora

Are you thinking of adding the earthen floor on top of the current deck, or removing the deck?

A picture of the area in question might help?
