I give this book 7 out of 10 acorns.

This book has a lot of practical information regarding building your own pole structure. The book is a bit dated (published 1985) so I don't think that many of the suppliers listed in the book are still in business. I also think that pressure treated wood is not a very permie product so I would rather see other methods of treating the poles that are going into the ground. I do like that the book talks about designing with solar gain in mind and even includes sun charts for different latitudes. It also has some really good charts in the appendix showing different feed storage needs as far a weight and volume goes. All in all a good book but it could use a little updating.
