Has anybody tried to incorporate a dehumidifier in the design of a composting toilet? The resulting water should be relatively clean and could be pumped outside to water flowerbeds.

Hi CC, try searching urine diversion it will do what you are desiring from the point of view of volume without much initial outlay or ongoing cost. I am very happy with the Joe Jenkins system that I am using but I have an almost ideal situation in that I have adequate room for composting and a free supply of both cover materials.
