Hello,

Finally, i've found a place i could call home.
I have spent a lot of time reading posts on various forums, learning skills as i go, and had a great time exploring, but this offered me everything i needed.
I probably just scratched the surface with the posts i've red so far, yet i already feel like i know some of you and like i belong.
I am honored to be here.

I come from Croatia, Istria, to be exact.
I love nature, and have always spent a lot of time in the woods and on a small small farm, more as a kid than now.
I'm 25 now, and working a job i like, not very physically demanding, 75% of it is on a computer, the rest is washing cars and driving, it takes too much of my time since i'm there every day up to 10 hours, sometimes 12,
plus, i'm a gamer, so i spend 10-12 hours a day on a computer.

I'm very handy, and could make whatever i see being made in front of me, i like books but i have to be able to do what's in it right away, otherwise i forget and i find it boring to just study a topic and do nothing with the gained knowledge.
I was a boy scout a few years back, but the real world grabbed a bite and i had to get a job.
I feel like my body is 50. My father is 55 and in better shape than me.

Last week i started to go onto a small piece of land, surrounded by a forest, and for the first time in years, i felt Mother Nature's calling again.
My inner shaman woke up and the Earth has spoken to me yet again, telling me it is time.
First, i will build a small shelter and a fire place.
I'm hoping that in time, a wofati will find it's place there.
I am unsure about the resources, there are not many, wood will be scarce, clay is 30ish kilometers away and i am unsure about being able to acquire it since i don't know the exact spot, and it may be on a private property.
Straw will also be a tough find, there is mud but it's tough to get to it since our terrain is very peculiar, there is a lot of "Škriljevac" but not the normal one,
it's white and it breaks or separates pretty easily so it's not very useful for construction. Hence, there is stone that turns to dust pretty easily with some pressure, and there are stones, solid rocks that can not be excavated easily since they can be big like a car but showing only a small part of it(like an Iceberg).
I just thought of an idea, maybe i could break some rocks into dust and mix it with the mud i'm able to get, and perhaps get a mixture that could be used. I will think about it.

Thank you for reading and sorry for the long post, unnecessary probably, but i felt the need to

You know it is dark times when the trees riot. I think this tiny ad is their leader:
