How big a pasture ? Solar fence charger's are an option for a large field. For rotation pens of 1/2 acre or less I bury used metal roofing horizontally one foot deep or so, back it up with low field fencing and your piggys will not get out. A backhoe is handy for burying fence but a small rototiller works as well. Obviously this is not an option for large grazing fields.

Well mine would , they like to root along the fence line and SOMEHOW.... they root under your fence ... if you dig and bury the 2x6 it will rot. Metal roofing...
