Need some help identifying a plant

I found a big patch of this whatever growing in a corner of my neighbor's farm. We have no idea what it is but it looks pretty interesting. He can't recall dumping any plant refuse near the spot but did recall that an excavator that dug his pond a couple years ago was parked in the spot. We surmised that perhaps some seed was present on the tracks of the machine from a prior job. At any rate, if anyone has a clue what this is we'd appreciate it..... thanks, Gary

Looks like it might be Angelica Archangelica officinalis or close relative.
