Online course about forest garden / garden design?

Hello!

Sorry in advance, if this is not appropriate question in this forum - I am complete newbie to this forum and to garden works.
But I would really like to learn, and I am searching a way to quickly and effectively get fundamental understanding about garden design, how to design a garden in a forest so that it would complement forest, not replace it.

I searched for some online courses in this field, but did not succeed in finding any. Maybe someone in this forum knows of such learning resources? Or could you advise me some good book for a newbie like me, where to start off?
I have no luxury of time and money to go learning on some on-site learning institution.

There is perhaps information elsewhere on this site about the Agroforestry Research Trust in UK, and int he last year or so they have offered an online course. More details at Online forest garden course, run by Martin Crawford who has masses of experience with forest gardening. Cheers, Anne
