Hello fellow Permies!

My better half and I will be traveling through your area en route to our new home in Point Roberts, Washington! We will be leaving near the end of August and we are wondering if you all have any suggestions on places to see while we are passing through or vegan places to eat! We are traveling from Minnesota and will be primarily on I-90 west.  Stopping to see Mount Rushmore and possibly Yellowstone are the only two things on the agenda right now.  We are also traveling with our 'fur babies' (1 dog, 2 cats) all of which have leashes so we can go explore together.  Seeing the cats on leashes might be the best thing I've seen! So yeah! If you have any ideas on where to stay, where to eat, or places to see please feel free to respond to the forum or give me a moosage! I hope all your weekends have been filled with fun and adventure!

To health and happiness,

Evan and Mercedes

Hey Evan! I work for Permies and live in the Little Belt Mountains, which is in central Montana. There are lots of great sites to see along the way (I've driven that route along 90 soooo many times, but I always go the northern way).

Sluice Boxes State Park

This is just up the road from where I live and is positively gorgeous - there's hiking, wildflowers, bears, deer, just lovely. Just make sure if you come out this way you do so with a full tank of gas, few stops along the way.

Then of course, there's the Permies location itself, Wheaton Labs! We don't disclose the exact location publicly unless arrangements are made, but it's about an hour outside of Missoula Montana, which is just west of the Rockies.

You are absolutely welcome to stop by and check out the projects we have going, and of course, in Missoula itself there are a lot of unique dining options that the rest of Montana doesn't typically offer (not always a very vegan-friendly state around here). If you'd like to stop in, just make sure to make arrangements to do so ahead of time.

You can find all of the information you'll need here in the Gapper thread, and you can email permiesATpermiesDOTcom if you'd like to make some plans to come out.
