flights in riser

I have been thinking that flights in the riser would swirl the gases and impart a spinning motion as they hit the top of the barrel

only one or two would be needed

the flights would only have to be an inch high and would offer minimal restriction to gas flow

any thoughts?

i saw that, the problem i have with that approach is the possible back pressure

no back pressure that you would notice. biggest problem is cleaning the stove and the fact that unless its made of SS it burns out in about a month.

making a texture in the heat riser would be fine. Not sure why you want to do so unless you have a real need for it. we where spinning the gases so the heat torus would move down the barrel. its a cool trick but more work than its worth most of the time
