It looks like a bona fide offer, as well.  Thanks for posting, Jay  Though you don't get title to the 2 acres until you have worked for the "Farmers Daughter" business for 5 years, but they'll give you a job when you get there...

The article the link takes you to says the offer is only open to Canadians, else I might try to go there.  

Cape Breton has a wonderful unique style of "folk music", and the monastery Pema Chodron heads up is also located in Cape Breton.
