This particular 1st build of the Eco-Commune, is an EARTHBAG BUILD (
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthbag_construction) and will be held in the middle of a beauitful valley near Pangot, Nainital for the whole month of OCTOBER 2016.
Whether you are a nature lover, environmentalist, naturalist, permaculturist, architect or generally love building things with your own hands, you will love this DIY green building workshop. As a bonus, not only is the surrounding 270 degrees panoramic view of the valley beautiful, but so are the people of the valley and owners of the land who are making this dream a reality.
This Earthbag build is planned for 1 month currently and all participants can be a part of either:
1) 10 day work period, which can be any time of the build, or the more beneficial
2) 30 days total period of the build
It is recommended however, to be there for the full month to learn to build your own beautiful weatherproof low cost natural home, from the gravel foundation to the living roof to the mud art finishing.
