Although they're no doubt good to eat I'd rather eat furry punga fronds or raw crayfish which are actually pretty good.

And there are a lot of other goodies in the bush. People seem to have a real aversion to possum meat, but a young animal from an area that has not been treated with poison is a real treat. We only eat meat about once a week, but in a survival situation a possum could give you the energy you need to keep going. So too can freshwater crayfish and fern fronds. Thanks for your post.
