So in addition to working for Paul here at Permies, I like to diversify my income with a little freelance writing on the side. I've recently started writing for magazines, and have been working with the editor of Farm and Ranch
magazine to write an article for them. I'll be covering
polyculture, which I think is just an awesome topic for this kind of publication!
What I need is to talk to people that are really practicing this on a scale larger than backyard
gardening - who is producing food with polyculture, and in amounts that they can
sell?
I'm going to comb the forums to start weeding people out to contact, but in the mean time, if you or anyone you know falls into this category, drop me a line here - I may just feature you and your operation in this article! I'll want to interview you, and we'll also need images of your garden at work (obviously, these will probably be from this past summer, since the growing season is over for many of us).
I have a lot of time to work on this, but sure as I say that, time will slip away, so I'd like to get a jump on gathering people together for it.
So is anyone up for this? This magazine reaches about 400,000 readers every month - I feel like getting an article about polyculture in there is huge, and I'd love for others to be a part of it!
