BSF Larvae Around the World

I love the ways people are using BSF larvae around the world, and thought others might like to see these examples.  This first one is a video from a facility (Chinese?) that is using BSFs to deal with one of the biggest problems in modern farming - the mishandling of manure.  Pig manure, in this video.  The downside of course, is that this is making factory farming work better, encouraging it's continuance.  I don't like that part, of course.  But it's still interesting.

Here's a good automatic chicken feeder/BSF bin.  It's made of a 50 gallon food-grade drum.  Pretty clever and straightforward.  Has a run for the larvae to march up and drop into the feeder.  A little wire mesh across the opening, and chickens wouldn't get into it and clean out your stock.

Here's a great video about using black soldier fly larva on a large scale in Indonesia. They raise the larva, and use them for biowaste treatment. There are more videos and info here.
